Barney Levitt
$1,140.00

Dimensions: 14 x 11 x 2
Medium: Oil on panel
Year created: 2024What inspired you to make this work?: I often use wildlife creatures in my work. I also like to create a narrative by juxtaposing items or subjects one wouldn't normally see together. In this case, the large, looming figure of the rhino bending down to 'trade secrets' with the small rabbit. It seems to fit the theme of 'Harmony of Opposites'.
Dahlia With Bulbs
Dahlia With Bulbs
Barney Levitt
$1,300.00

Dimensions: 16 x 12 x 2
Medium: Oil on canvas
Year created: 2023What inspired you to make this work?: I have an extensive collection of dahlias on my property. I'm always amazed at the various colors and patterns of this amazing flower. At the end of each season I dig up the dahlia bulbs and over winter them so I can plant them the following season. This vivid dahlia was in such contrast to the earth tones of the bulbs. I found the bulbs to be beautifully sculptural.
Crescendo

Pat Mattina
$675.00

Dimensions: 20 x 16 x 1
Medium: Acrylic on Board
Year created: 2008What inspired you to make this work?: The butterfly bird, featured in my painting, Crescendo, flew in through the dream-time in early 2008 as a crumpled origami form containing a single clue: wage peace. This was a message I could not ignore and, in fact, helped me to birth what would become the Earth Songs of Peace series. As I painted, I listened for and attended to sounds of creation & destruction that I connected to the internal/external harmonies & discords present in art & life. Using dots, random scribbles, and various line combinations, I orchestrated the parts of the whole into a unified, balanced composition.
Con Amore

Pat Mattina
$675.00

Dimensions: 20 x 16 x 1
Medium: acrylic on board
Year created: 2008What inspired you to make this work?: Con Amore, from the Earth Songs of Peace series, reveals my enjoyment in working with color opposites that, in this case, vibrate against energetic marks suspended just beneath the multi-layered surface. Tipped and steadied squares, symbols connected to a childhood memory, provide the compositional balance that I seek. They, along with energetic and stable lines, become part of a meditative, interwoven melody of movement, stillness and sound. There is a child-like part of my being that remains open to magical thinking: If I paint enough butterfly birds in my lifetime, perhaps the technical, emotional, and spiritual energy of this commitment will help to restore balance to the Universe, to all beings, with love.
Slow and Steady Wins the Race
Slow and Steady Wins the Race
Janet Montecalvo
$475.00

Dimensions: 8 x 8 x 1.5
Medium: oil on wood panel
Year created: 2024What inspired you to make this work?: Going to the Boston Marathon is a spring ritual in my life and the town of Hopkinton and Boston. I've watched it on the sidelines for almost 40 years. I've always wanted to try and capture the excitement of the race in a painting. My collection of vintage toys came in handy for my still life painting of the classic racing tale of the tortoise and the hare. I think the image also represents the "Harmony of Opposites", fast and slow. I hope you enjoy!
Spring Reflection
Spring Reflection
Julie O'Connor
$350.00

Dimensions: 24 x 16 x 1
Medium: Digital Archival Photograph Sublimated to Aluminum
Year created: 2011What inspired you to make this work?: A beautiful bouquet of fresh-from-the-garden Easter flowers, reflecting off of a mirrored tray. Both flowers and reflection are visible, as if looking into a positive, hopeful future. Here, the light is reflected on the surface, bouncing onto the smooth silver surface, and back to the eye. Daffodils, Forsythia, and Hyacinth are plentiful in the spring, and symbolize new beginnings and optimism. The bending Hyacinth is the focal point of the bouquet, with the others surrounding, giving it color, shape and structure.
The Dancers
The Dancers
Beverly Ramsay
$1,200.00

Dimensions: 16 x 20
Medium: paper
Year created: 2024What inspired you to make this work?: Tibetan dancers inspired this piece of artwork. In their cold climate they remove their coats, carefully fold and wrap them around their waists with tassels, creating beautiful colors and patterns to their ornate attire. These layers of fabric swirl, along with their arms and their hair creating swaying movement. These two dancers, opposite in color create a harmonious dance.
Dance Like Nobody's Watching
Dance Like Nobody's Watching
Cheryl Rose
$200.00

Dimensions: 20 x 16 x 1
Medium: Photography
Year created: 2023What inspired you to make this work?: From the shore, I observed the straight reeds create dancing reflections moving on the water, making a wonderful juxtaposition between the straight and rigid lines and a playful dancing motion caused by their reflections.
Heritage Plantation
Heritage Plantation
Janell Scannell
$500.00

Dimensions: 14 x 11 x 0.5
Medium: Acrylic
Year created: 2024What inspired you to make this work?: Nature and color are my loves. While on my hikes I find shapes and textures that inspire me to break them down to the essences. From there I use colors that make me happy. Each painting is a nugget of joy from a day I spent hiking.
Going Against
Going Against
Melissa Scheid Frantz
$575.00

Dimensions: 28 x 22 x 1
Medium: oil, wax on canvas (I paint entirely with my fingers, no brushes)
Year created: 2021What inspired you to make this work?: I feel as a biracial, Asian American woman I have had cognitive dissonance when trying to assert my identity. How I see myself has always been different than how society - in and out of the workplace - wants to restrict me to certain labels and standards. Each day I consciously and unconsciously go against society's norms and stereotypes through my words and actions. Even though the painting possesses beautiful colors, the colors and shapes have tension between them, which is how I feel about walking through life every day.
Evolve

Namrata Siviya
$380.00

Dimensions: 13.5 x 11 x 1
Medium: Pen and Markers on Paper
Year created: 2023What inspired you to make this work?: The drawing, 'Evolve', was made as a part of my intuitive drawing practice. Using a thought, memory, feeling or word as a starting point, I follow my train of thought and put it all down on paper in the form of a drawing. This particular drawing was in response to the idea of growth through the acceptance of conflicting facets within the self.
Somewhere in Punjab
Somewhere in Punjab
Namrata Siviya
$450.00

Dimensions: 12 x 16 x 1
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Year created: 2023What inspired you to make this work?: ‘Somewhere in Punjab’ is an impression of a street from a small town in Punjab, India. I was fascinated by the forms of shops, shoppers and traffic woven together. Organic and inorganic elements of the marketplace seemed pulsating with life . The shoppers seemed to have an air of relaxation and leisure in the midst of the hustle-bustle. The stark sunlight added to the visual drama of the place. I thoroughly enjoyed making this piece.
Exist
Exist
Rebecca Skinner
$500.00

Dimensions: 18 x 12 x 0.5
Medium: photograph on aluminum
Year created: 2022What inspired you to make this work?: I have spent over a decade photographing abandoned structures. Abandoned locations can be found in any demographic, but are most prevalent in areas that were once thriving. Whether people left due to closing factories, loss of tourism, home foreclosure, or natural disaster, the sense of struggle and loss is clear. I photograph throughout the United States. I belong to a group of like minded photographers that I travel with and am inspired by. Each location has a story to tell. I hope to immerse the viewer in the scene, intertwining the viewer and the location into a single narrative of nostalgia and respect for the suspended moment. I portray these facilities not only as a preserved instance of a forgotten time, but as the summation of the place’s history and beauty.
Approaching Storm Over Sedona
Approaching Storm Over Sedona
Melodie Wenz-Gross
$550.00

Dimensions: 17.5 x 26.5 x 1.5
Medium: Pastel
Year created: 2023What inspired you to make this work?: On a trip to Sedona in November of 2022, we arrived at our hotel just in time to catch a storm coming across a red rock range in the distance. The clouds were ominous, but also beautiful. What caught my attention, however, was a shaft of sunlight coming through the clouds, illuminating parts of the red rock cliffs while contrasting with the dark shadows of the approaching storm.
Vessel of Life
Vessel of Life
Sharon Whitham
$750.00

Dimensions: 26 x 22 x 1
Medium: Printmaking, Monotype Collage, Oil on Paper
Year created: 2023What inspired you to make this work?: This piece is part of body of work created in Mexico using the focal point of a vessel and imagery inspired by the local colors, patterns and shapes in nature. The vessel is symbolic of mother, earth, fertility, plentitude, and transformation. The vessels are filled with the beauty, majesty and bounty of our planet. We depend on the precarious balance of these plants for our very existence. With awareness and care - there is hope for us all.
