$1,500.00

Dimensions: 19 x 16 x 1.5
Medium: Ceramic relief sculpture glued to the board and framed
Year created: 2022What inspired you to make this work?: The sturdy jug, juxtaposed with the soft, perishable pears, embodies a profound contrast between permanence and transience. Serenade of Contrasts: Flowers, Pitcher, and Bird
Rita Aris
$900.00

Dimensions: 22 x 19 x 1.5
Medium: Ceramic (bas relief) sculpture
Year created: 2024What inspired you to make this work?: In this piece, I sought to explore the delicate interplay between contrasting elements within the realm of still life art. The flowers, bursting with vibrant color and life, stand in juxtaposition to the sturdy, timeless pitcher. This duality symbolizes the closeness of fragility and permanence, transience and endurance. Adding to this harmony of opposites is the inclusion of a bird, delicately perched near the pitcher. The bird, with its sense of freedom and movement, contrasts with the static nature of the pitcher and flowers.

With lots yet to do that morning, I just plopped my cuttings into a large glass pitcher that was sitting on the kitchen counter and left the divvying up and arranging for later. When I saw them again later day was still cool but the window was bright and backlit the flowers in such a way that I found irresistable. I snapped the photo that became my inspiration.

Dimensions: 36 x 36 x 1.5
Medium: oil on panel
Year created: 2023What inspired you to make this work?: I was intrigued by the beauty and simultaneous fierceness and ugliness of a bird who has to compete for food, who is both predator and prey. When you observe these birds closely, you will see their battle scars. There is a beautiful strength there.

$270.00

Dimensions: 15 x 15 x 1
Medium: Photography
Year created: 2023What inspired you to make this work?: This image was created in-camera using the technique known as ICM--Intentional Camera Motion. Using a slow shutter speed, I intentionally move the camera while the shutter is open. The breeze was bending the plants in the foreground set against the strong trees in the background holding their own. The movement of the camera produced an ephemeral feel to the overall image showing the contrast of delicacy and strength.

Aimee Dalrymple
$195.00

Dimensions: 14 x 11
Medium: Monotype print
Year created: 2024What inspired you to make this work?: This work began with the embossing of pretty flowers using a printing press. Although the natural pigments and shapes created a pretty pattern, it was too initially too tame. These were wildflowers after all! I added my own colors and patterns to enliven this unique print, to try to capture the ephemeral joy of seeing a field of wildflowers on a sunny day.

Untitled
Untitled
Lindsay Jaworek
$275.00

Dimensions: 20 x 16 x 0.75
Medium: Acrylics
Year created: 2024What inspired you to make this work?: I create artwork for my own happiness and well being and hope to bring joy to my viewer and buyers also. Everything i create is manifested to create a positive vibe. I use bright and happy colors and natural shapes to achieve this as much as possible. In this particular painting, I wanted to play around with small markings and circles, show control on a canvas that was 'splashed' with circles. I used color opposites and found that green and pink look very well together. I use circles in a lot of my work bc they have so many meanings, any painting starts with a dot, if you think about it. I plan on exploring these techniques in future paintings.
